1. Participation

Women Inspired is a collaborative storytelling and publishing project. By accepting your place, you agree to actively participate by attending scheduled appointments, providing requested information and meeting agreed deadlines.

2. Booking & Deposit

A non refundable deposit is required to secure your place in the project.

The deposit covers administration, planning, scheduling and production costs that commence immediately upon booking. Deposits are non refundable if you cancel or withdraw from the project. This does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Your place is not confirmed until your deposit has been received.

3. Payment Plans

Payment plans are available by agreement.

All payments must be completed in full before any final products or services are delivered, including your published book, professional digital images, marketing assets, podcast files, printed copies and any additional inclusions within your package.

Failure to maintain agreed payments may result in your participation being suspended until your account is brought up to date.

4. Participant Responsibilities

Participants agree to attend scheduled photoshoots and interviews, arrive on time, complete questionnaires, provide requested information, review and approve written stories within the requested timeframe, select photographs within the requested timeframe and respond promptly to communication throughout the project.

Publishing deadlines are critical. Failure to return approvals by the nominated deadline may result in Women Inspired proceeding with the most recently approved material to avoid delaying publication.

If image selections are not received by the nominated deadline, Women Inspired reserves the right to make the final image selection on the participant's behalf.

5. Failure to Participate

If a participant repeatedly fails to attend appointments, misses agreed deadlines or does not fulfil their responsibilities, Women Inspired will make reasonable attempts to contact the participant before terminating the agreement.

If participation is terminated, any monies already paid are non refundable, any outstanding payments under the payment agreement remain payable and the participant forfeits their place within the current edition.

6. Photography & Media Release

Participants grant Women Inspired permission to photograph, record and interview them as part of the project.

Approved photographs, written stories and podcast interviews may be used in the Women Inspired publication, website, social media, marketing material and media opportunities connected with the project.

Participants will have the opportunity to review and approve their written story and selected images before publication.

7. Intellectual Property

The Women Inspired publication, branding, design and project materials remain the intellectual property of Women Inspired.

Participants retain ownership of their personal story. By participating, you grant Women Inspired permission to publish and promote your approved story, photographs and podcast content in connection with the project.

Participants warrant that the information and story they provide are accurate and do not knowingly infringe the intellectual property or privacy rights of another person.

8. Changes to the Project

Women Inspired reserves the right to make reasonable changes to schedules, event dates, publication timelines or project delivery if required due to circumstances beyond our control. Participants will be kept informed of any significant changes.

9. Cancellation by Women Inspired

If Women Inspired is unable to deliver the project due to unforeseen circumstances, we will work with participants to provide an alternative arrangement, reschedule services or provide an appropriate refund where required under Australian Consumer Law.

10. Limitation of Liability

Women Inspired will take every reasonable care in delivering the project. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable legislation.

11. Publication Commitment

Once a participant has approved their story and photographs for publication and the book has entered the design or print production stage, they acknowledge that withdrawal is no longer possible, as changes at this stage affect the integrity, production timeline and cost of the publication.

12. Participant Conduct

Women Inspired is committed to creating a respectful, inclusive and supportive community. We reserve the right to remove a participant whose behaviour is abusive, discriminatory, threatening or otherwise detrimental to the wellbeing of the community. In these circumstances, deposits and payments already made will not be refunded.

13. Force Majeure

Women Inspired is not liable for delays or failure to perform its obligations where such delays arise from events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, illness, government restrictions, venue closures, supplier delays or other unforeseen circumstances.

14. Privacy

Personal information collected as part of the project will be managed in accordance with the Women Inspired Privacy Policy.

15. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes arising from this agreement will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.

16. Acceptance of Terms

By signing this agreement or paying your deposit, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms and Conditions.

Additional Conditions

• Deposits are non refundable.

• Payment plans must be paid in full before any products, services or deliverables are released.

• Participants are responsible for checking the accuracy of their story before providing final approval.

• If you withdraw after production has commenced, payments already made are non refundable, subject to your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

• If you fail to fulfil your obligations under this agreement, Women Inspired reserves the right to terminate your participation. Any outstanding balance under your payment agreement remains payable.
